I’m Laurie, an Alaskan studying aborad in in Copenhagen! This will be my first trip to Europe, and I’ll be posting travel photos and stories from my adventures.

I go to school in Minnesota, and study Mathematics and Biology. This semester in Copenhagen, I’ll be focusing on Biology and taking a few courses about European history and Danish public health policy. I’m taking the following courses:

• Polar Biology
• Epigenetics and the Environment
• Politics and Religion in Europe
• Pregnancy, Birth, and Infancy in Denmark

In addition to studying, I’ll be exploring Copenhagen’s food scene, swing dancing, and traveling around other parts of Europe. During my time here, I’ll be living with a Danish family in a homestay! I’m really excited to get to know a local family and to learn about Danish culture.

To organize this blog, I have a “photos” tab where I’ll share photos of my travel, and a “blog feed” tab where you can read about my experiences. The “bucket list” tab is a list of all the things I hope to do and see in Copenhagen and Europe.
